The Dim Red Dot
Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day shows Proxima Centauri, a member of the Alpha Centauri star system. Proxima Centauri is only visible through a telescope and is currently under close scrutiny. Does it have planets? Perhaps we'll find out soon!
