Passing of a Giant
Word is coming in that Frederik Pohl, one of the "old guard" and a member of "first fandom" has passed away.
Addendum: Pohl's impact on the field was great in many ways, especially as an editor. Here are two introductions he did, talking about one author he brought us—Cordwainer Smith.
