A Cold Wind from Orion

Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day shows a supergalactic wind "blowing" through the "Cigar Galaxy" (Messier 82) in the constellation of Ursa Major. (The title of today's post derives from a novel I read which had a much better title than story, alas.)
